Chiara Cigarini is a Ph.D student in modern and contemporary Chinese literature at Beijing Normal University. Her research deals with contemporary Chinese Science Fiction, focusing in particular on Han Song’s experimental production. She translated a short story by Wu Yan into Italian for the dual language Chinese SF anthology Nebula, published by Future Fiction (2017), and she is currently working on the translation of the novella “Zhuansheng de juren” by Wang Jinkang.
